2. Medical disclaimer

This is the most important part of this page.

Our tests do not replace a doctor. Homediq facilitates self-collection tests that are analysed by independent, accredited medical laboratories. The information on our website and the explanation accompanying your result are general in nature and do not constitute medical advice, a diagnosis or treatment advice.

A result is a snapshot. A laboratory result says something about your sample at the moment of collection. Whether a value is meaningful for you depends on your symptoms, your history, your medication and other factors we are not aware of. Only a doctor can weigh those.

Contact a doctor if you have symptoms, if your result falls outside the reference range, or if you are in any doubt. For urgent symptoms, contact your GP, the out-of-hours GP service or the emergency number immediately. Never wait for a test result in those circumstances.

Never stop or change your medication on the basis of a result without consulting your treating physician.

A normal result does not rule out a condition. No test is one hundred per cent reliable. If your symptoms persist, see your doctor, even if your result was reassuring.

3. Accuracy of information

We compile the information on our website with care and update it regularly. Even so, we cannot guarantee that all information is complete, accurate and current at all times. Medical insights and reference values change.

You cannot derive any rights from the information on this website. We accept no liability for damage arising from the use of, or reliance on, this information.

Part of the information originates from third parties, including the laboratories we work with. We cannot vouch for its accuracy.

4. Availability of the website

We make every effort to keep the website available but cannot guarantee this. We may restrict or interrupt access at any time, for example for maintenance or updates, without being liable for doing so.

We cannot guarantee that the website and our servers are free of viruses or other harmful elements, and accept no liability for these.

5. Links to other websites

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. These are included in good faith for information purposes. We have no control over their content or availability and accept no liability for the information, products or services you find there.

6. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Homediq is not liable for indirect damage, consequential loss, lost profit, business interruption or loss of data connected with the use of this website.

This limitation does not apply in the event of intent or deliberate recklessness on the part of Homediq, in the event of damage caused by death or personal injury, and not to the extent that mandatory consumer law provides otherwise. Your statutory rights as a consumer remain fully in force.

Our liability for the products and services you purchase from us is governed by our terms and conditions. This disclaimer concerns only the use of the website.

All content on this website, including texts, images, trade marks, logos and design, is owned by Homediq or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property rights.

You may view and use the content for personal, non-commercial purposes. Reproducing, copying or publishing content for other purposes is permitted only with our prior written consent.

You may link to our website, provided the context of the link relates to the subject of the page you are linking to and the link does not place us in a negative light.
