Anonymous STI Testing with Homed-IQ

Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are infections that you can get through sex, especially if you do not use a condom or dental dam (unsafe sex). While some STIs can cause unpleasant symptoms, others may not cause any symptoms at all. Although many STIs are easily treated with medication, it is important to get tested to get a correct diagnosis, prevent long-term health effects from an untreated infection, and avoid spreading the infection to others. Have you had unsafe sex, are experiencing symptoms that could be an STI, would like to have unprotected sex with your partner, or have had sex with someone with an STI? Then it is a good idea to get tested. Homed-IQ’s STI home tests allow users to perform a laboratory-certified STI test from the comfort and privacy of home. Using our self-tests, you can test yourself easily, safely, and anonymously for the most common STIs. Just like STI tests available from sexual health clinics or the GP, Homed-IQ works with certified laboratories to guarantee an equally valid and reliable test result.

What STIs can I test myself for?

Homed-IQ offers several STI self-tests, including tests for individual STIs, such as Chlamydia, as well as tests that check for several STIs at the same time. With our STI Test Comprehensive, you can check yourself for the most common STIs, including chlamydia, gonorrhoea, trichomoniasis, herpes, syphilis, hepatitis B, and HIV. The following selection of home STI tests are available from Homed-IQ:

Why should I take an STI test?

  • Know for sure whether you have an STI, as not all STIs cause symptoms
  • Prevent passing STIs to others
  • Avoid unpleasant symptoms or long-term health effects from an untreated infection
  • Having an STI increases the risk of other STIs and HIV

However, if your test result is positive, it is strongly advised to bring your test result to a doctor or sexual health clinic for follow-up care.
