Anyone who’s sexually active is at risk of sexually transmitted infections (and pregnant women with some STDs, like syphilis, can pass the infection to their babies). So if you’re engaging in sexual activity, it’s important to use protection and regularly get screened. This is especially the case if you have more than one sexual partner.

The term STI (Sexually Transmitted Infection) refers to the earlier stages of an infection transmitted through sexual activity. Undiagnosed and untreated, STIs can turn into STDs (Sexually Transmitted Disease). While STD is the catch-all word for these conditions, it is not what most people are actually referring to.

Yes. In fact, some STDs make you more susceptible to contracting other STDs. That’s why it’s best to get tested for all STDs.

There are quite a few benefits for testing at home rather than visiting a local clinic or the GGD.

First is the matter of convenience, which saves you from having to take time out of your already busy schedule for any embarrassing trips to your physician or clinic. Also, our results are easy to understand and straightforward, so the confusion typically associated with traditional lab or clinic visits won’t be an issue.

At Homed-IQ, your privacy is just as important to us as it is to you. Your test kit will arrive in discreet packaging, and your test results are truly confidential. Your test is confidential with Homed-IQ, our partner testing laboratory, and our medical team. Your results will never be shared with anyone unless you choose to.
